A quest is all about seeking something important, and it often involves a journey. You expect to be challenged. You expect to be tested. And this is what lies ahead for 10 intrepid Amberjackers. They’ve got together to form team Ambertrek to take part in the iconic Race to the Stones.
The Race to the Stones is a true quest of endurance, stamina and teamwork. Ambertrek will be truly tested, pushing themselves to the limit as they follow in the footsteps of Romans, Vikings, & Kings along Britain’s oldest road – The Ridgeway. Taking place on 14th and 15th July through some of Britain’s most stunning landscapes it’s a 5,000 year ultra-marathon back in time. But team Ambertrek are ready for the 100km challenge especially to support such a fantastic and deserving cause as the SSAFA (the Armed Forces Charity).
By raising money for the SSAFA Ambertrek will help support serving men and women, veterans, and their families with the challenges of life during and after their careers in the Armed Forces. At Amberjack we’re very proud of the Ambertrek team as they take on this huge challenge to support the vital work of the SSAFA.
Matha Alty, Ambertrek team organiser says
“We’re all really excited about such a big challenge. We know it’s not going to be easy, the 100km race to the stones will really test us both as individuals and as a team. We’ve all got strong links to the armed forces, so what better way to take on a challenge like this than by raising money for such a deserving cause as the SSAFA.”
