What do young people really think about their future careers in 2026?
This webinar in association with Springpod saw the launch of the Gen Z Careers Report 2026, based on insights from 1,251 young people aged 13–21 across the UK.
This year’s findings reveal a generation that is more digitally enabled, financially conscious and AI-powered than ever before – but also facing significant uncertainty about their future.
Key insights from the report include:
📊 70% of young people say thinking about their career causes them stress
💰 Cost of living is now the biggest factor influencing career decisions, with salary and financial security taking centre stage
🤖 50% young people are already using AI to research careers
🔍 Google remains the dominant research tool, but nearly 40% respondents now use TikTok for career research
🎓 Career planning is starting earlier than ever, with many young people seriously considering their future careers before age 15
